Police Academy Open to Interested Gloucester Township Residents

The academy runs for 10 weeks beginning March 6, and is free.

The 12th Citizen's Police Academy will soon be open to interested Gloucester Township residents 16 years old and over, the police department announced on Saturday.

The academy is a free 10-week course that begins March 6. It will be held on Thursdays between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Those who enroll in the course will get an overview of the police department and the administration, uniformed patrol, police communications, special operations, criminal investigations and youth criminal law, among other topics. All attendees will be trained on the use of CPR in the home.
