Police Charge Man With Theft of Gas at Jimmy's Citgo

John Gerogiorgis, 31, of Barrington, was charged with theft on Wednesday.

Gloucester Township Police charged a man with the robbery of Jimmy’s Citgo gas station on Wednesday.

John Gerogiorgis, 31, of Barrington, was charged with theft on Wednesday.

Gerogiorgis allegedly fled north on the Black Horse Pike after leaving the gas station on Monday without paying for $85 worth of gasoline.

On Tuesday, police released photos of the car involved in the incident and a description of the suspect. Several tipsters saw the photos in various media outlets, including an off-duty corrections officer who saw the late 1970’s blue Ford Ranchero parked on Evesham Road in Gloucester Township.

Several officers responded to the scene and spotted Gerogiorgis, who matched the description released earlier in the day.

He was ultimately taken into custody and charged with the theft of gas. He was released on a criminal summons.
