Carol Reiff's Body Found in Woods, Police Confirm
Authorities had to use dental records to positively identify Reiff, 59, who had been missing for several days.
Carol Reiff was confirmed dead Wednesday, two days after police found her body in a wooded area near the Lakeview Apartment complex on Lower Landing Road in Gloucester Township where she lived.
It took Camden County police officials two days to positively identify Reiff, whose body was badly decomposed when found just before noon Monday. She was reported missing several days before, and had last spoken to family on Thursday.
"Dental records allowed for positive identification of the victim as Carol Reiff, a 59-year-old woman who was reported missing Friday, June 21," a statement from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said. "An autopsy performed Monday night was unable to determine a cause of death due to the body’s state of decay. Cause and manner of death are listed as 'pending' at this time."
Police are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information on Reiff's disappearance and death.
