Police: Drive Carefully on Chews Landing Road This Weekend

The third annual Gloucester Township Relay for Life will be held Saturday morning through Sunday morning.

Gloucester Township Police issued the following press release regarding vehicular traffic on Chews Landing Road during the third annual Relay for Life event:

On Saturday, June 9, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life cancer walk will be occurring at Vets Park located adjacent to the municipal building, 1261 Chews Landing Rd.

The event begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 9, and ends at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 10. During the event, above normal pedestrian and vehicle traffic is expected along Chews Landing Road, Little Gloucester Road, Kelly Drivers Lane and Hider Lane. Additionally, drivers should be cautious of pedestrians in the neighborhoods surrounding the park.

Officers will be on location assisting with pedestrian crossings and traffic control at the park. Residents will still be able to access the park during the event. Drivers are advised to use caution when in the area.
