UPDATE, 12:53 p.m. 10/3: The police department announced late Tuesday on its Facebook page that the two suspects have been apprehended and charged with shoplifting.
Patch has a call into the police department seeking identifications of the man and woman charged with the crime.
Police are seeking the public's help identifying a man and a woman who attempted to return previously stolen merchandise for a refund at the Blackwood Clementon Road Rite Aid last month.
Gloucester Township Police Crime Stoppers released photos of the two suspects on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Thursday, Sept. 13, at about 5:45 p.m.
Police described the female suspect as white with long brown hair. She was wearing her hair pulled up and was dressed in jeans, a black tank top, and a baby blue, hooded jacket.
Police described the male suspect as white with short, dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing a maroon shirt, khaki shorts and sneakers.
Police say the male suspect appeared to steal a bottle of hair-coloring formula while arguing with a store clerk.
The suspects reportedly left the store in an older, black Buick as rear-seat passengers.
