UPDATE: Police Re-Open Roads Near Blackwood Lake

Several roadways around the lake were closed as police investigated a serious accident, which reportedly included one victim's ejection from a car.

UPDATE 8:20 p.m.: Church Street remained closed from the Black Horse Pike heading west past Blackwood Lake as of 7:35 p.m., township police said.

It appears the accident actually occurred in Washington Township, just over the Camden County-Gloucester County border, near where Church Street splits to Good Intent and Barnsboro Blackwood roads.

A witness refutes earlier reports that a male victim was unconscious when emergency medical personnel reached him at the accident scene.

A serious car accident near Blackwood Lake will result in nearby roadways being closed for several hours as investigators attempt to determine how the crash occurred, according to police.

Police announced at 5:35 p.m. this evening that West Church Street, Good Intent Road and Barnsboro Blackwood Road will be closed for several hours as a result of the accident.

Gloucester Township and Washington Township police are investigating the accident, which reportedly resulted in one male victim being ejected from a vehicle.

The accident occurred along the border between Washington Township, Gloucester County, and Gloucester Township, Camden County, at about 4:45 p.m.

Reports indicated the male victim who was ejected from the vehicle was unconscious when emergency medical personnel reached him.
