----------

Police are seeking the public's help locating a man they have charged with robbery for allegedly assaulting a Kmart security guard while attempting to steal a 32-inch television.

Gloucester Township Police Det. Bernie Dougherty has identified the suspect as 36-year-old Frank Zaveckas. The Sicklerville man, whose last known address is on Spar Drive, remains at large.

A Kmart security guard recognized Zaveckas as the man who had previously stolen two TVs from the store, according to police, when he saw him carrying the 32-inch TV through the store the morning of Aug. 12. Zaveckas assaulted a security guard who stopped him from leaving the store with a third TV.

During his investigation into the Aug. 12 incident, Dougherty discovered that Zaveckas headed a shoplifting ring that had struck businesses in the township, Berlin, Cinnaminson, Deptford and Somerdale several times.

Police have charged Zaveckas with second-degree robbery. Also charged by township police in connection with the local shoplifting crimes are Tricia Roscoe, 30, of Gibbsboro, and Nicole Roscoe, 28, of Woodbury, both of whom are charged with fourth-degree conspiracy.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding Zaveckas' whereabouts contact police dispatch at 856-228-4500 or the township's anonymous crime tip line at 856-842-5560.
