Authorities are seeking the public's help identifying the person who smashed out the window to a Blackwood Clementon Road jewelry store this weekend and stole an undetermined amount of merchandise.
Gloucester Township Police on Tuesday morning posted surveillance video from Anthony Simon Jewelers showing the burglary on its YouTube site.
The burglary occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The burglar smashed out a side window to the business. The surveillance video released by police shows what appears to be a woman hop over a counter while carrying a light-colored backpack.
It has not yet been determined exactly what the burglar stole from the jewelry store as of Tuesday morning, according to police.
The suspect appears to be a thin woman who had her hair pulled back at the time of the burglary, according to police. The smash-and-grab burglar was wearing a dark sweater or coat over a white, collared shirt, light-colored pants and a dark belt, while carrying a large backpack.
Police ask that anyone with information about the burglary or suspect call police dispatch at 856-228-4500 or the township's anonymous crime tip line at 856-842-5560.
