Police Take Burglary Investigation Online

Gloucester Township Police use their new YouTube channel to hunt for two burglary suspects.

Gloucester Township Police are putting their to use in their efforts to apprehend a pair of burglary suspects.

The department posted a slideshow on YouTube of the suspects breaking into the United Mart in the Strawberry Square Shopping Center on Sicklerville Road. The crime occurred April 21 at 2:40 a.m.

The slideshow shows the suspects in the store through 2:56 a.m. The still photos show them ransacking United Mart’s front counter as they steal Newport Cigarettes and a cash box, stuffing the loot into black plastic trash bags.

Throughout the video, police inserted identifying information on the suspects, described as two black males—one with chin facial hair and wearing a blue sweatshirt, designer jeans and a ball cap with a round logo; the other wearing a New York Yankees cap and a black leather coat.

As the photos slowly materialize, police point out these features while showing the crime in commission.
