Teens Charged with Blenheim Burglaries, Vandalism

Police wonder if the same group is responsible for more damage not yet discovered by victims.

Gloucester Township Police Department released the following press release Thursday afternoon regarding the arrests of several teens in a rash of criminal mischief in the township's Blenheim section:

On June 20, 2012, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Gloucester Township Police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Crestview Avenue for a report of several subjects attempting to steal a motorcycle from the property. The investigation led officers to another residence in the same block where the subjects reportedly fled. At this address, two juvenile males and one young adult male were located inside the residence.

As the investigation continued, it was determined that the three subjects were responsible for a rash of mayhem in the neighborhood. This included several motor vehicle burglaries and a burglary of a residential garage. During the burglary of the garage the subject committed a theft of two BB guns. The subjects then used the BB guns to commit criminal damage by shooting the windows of a GMC pickup truck parked in the neighborhood and a window of a residence on the 200 block of Crestview Avenue along with potentially others in the Blenheim area. Additionally, a third juvenile male was interviewed, who was found in possession of a bicycle that was recently stolen from a nearby apartment complex. This bicycle was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
