Report: 15 Heroin Overdoses in Two Days in Camden County

Eleven of the overdoses were in Camden. None have been fatal so far.

There have been 15 reported heroin overdoses in Camden County in two days, with 11 of those taking place in Camden, nj.com reports.

None of the overdoses has proven fatal, according to the report.

Other overdoses have taken place in Berlin, Stratford and Gloucester City. Authorities are seeking a connection in the cases, according to the report.

A previous report indicated the overdoses included bags marked “magic.”

The reported spike began Tuesday evening and continued into Wednesday.

Camden was No. 5 on the list of 45 New Jersey towns with the most heroin abuse in 2012. Gloucester City was No. 27 on that list compiled based on statistics provided by the Division of Addiction Services in the New Jersey Department of Human Services.
