Sicklerville Man Wanted by Police after Drugs, Money and Paraphernalia Found in Car
A Gloucester Township police traffic stop turned up a treasure trove of drugs and cash.
Gloucester Township police are searching for Arthur Spencer, 24, of the 1000 block of Jarvis Road after a large quantity of illegal and prescription drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia were found in a car he was driving.
Spencer was pulled over during a traffic stop at Old Black Horse Pike and Taylor Avenue last Friday. A vehicle search by a K-9 dog indicated drugs were in his vehicle. The search was initiated after a patrolman smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the car, police said.
Spencer was released pending a search warrant for the car. The search later that day turned up more than six ounces of marijuana, a "significant" quantity of the prescription drug oxycodone, several thousand dollars cash and a digital scale.
Spencer was still at large as of 4 p.m. Wednesday when police released a report of charges against him, which include distribution and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
