Anthony Spencer of the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township is wanted on drug charges.
Gloucester Township police are searching for Arthur Spencer, 24, of the 1000 block of Jarvis Road after a large quantity of illegal and prescription drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia were found in a car he was driving.

Spencer was pulled over during a traffic stop at Old Black Horse Pike and Taylor Avenue last Friday. A vehicle search by a K-9 dog indicated drugs were in his vehicle. The search was initiated after a patrolman smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the car, police said.

Spencer was released pending a search warrant for the car. The search later that day turned up more than six ounces of marijuana, a "significant" quantity of the prescription drug oxycodone, several thousand dollars cash and a digital scale.

Spencer was still at large as of 4 p.m. Wednesday when police released a report of charges against him, which include distribution and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Anyone with knowledge of Spencer's whereabouts are urged to contact the GTPD Anonymous Crime Tip Line: 856-842-5560; send an anonymous tip via text message to Gloucester Township Police, text the keyword GLOTWP and your tip message to 847411 (tip411) or the Anonymous Web Tip page:  http://www.citizenobserver.com/cov6/app/webTipForm.html?id=7510

Unclear on that post. So this guy was law abiding or he is the criminal? This guy was a clear criminal. Your issue is with he walked away? This was in the media before the topic of search warrants and holding cars. The judges don't get bothered to sign a search warrant until it is convenient for them. Would it be best to hold the guy until they get the warrant or let him go was the debate at the time. Hold they guy and find nothing then that "law abiding citizen" will have much to say regarding rights etc. In this case it sounds like a win for the cops with the jackpot and the guy will be caught. Let him run and leave GT forever! Love the photo. Anyway I think we can say the "system" itself needs correcting.

SCHU..Im not backing anybody getting abused by the system...Paul Moriaity was not loaded up with drugs when pulled over...I live right next door to this suspect...i dont lose my compass based on whose side I am on...I know there is wrongs everywhere...I can respect..but when there is such danger for citizens...us...how are we all not outraged...
