Three Hospitalized After Three-Car Crash

The accident occurred on College Drive at around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Three people were hospitalized late Wednesday afternoon following a three-car crash on College Drive.

Police were dispatched to College Drive, near Blackwood Clementon Road, at 4:16 p.m. for a report of a head-on collision, according to Gloucester Township Police Sgt. James Garber.

Responding police officers found the two-car accident resulted in a third vehicle being struck. Personnel from Gloucester Township EMS and Blackwood Fire Department responded to assist.

All three drivers were taken to area hospitals for treatment—one to Cooper University Hospital, in Camden, for treatment of what police described as a minor leg injury, the other two to Kennedy University Hospital-Stratford after complaining of head and neck pain.

Police have identified the three drivers as Cristena M. Wenner, 24, of Sicklerville, Monique D. White, 34, of Erial, and Jenmel M. Askie, 18, of Sicklerville.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the police department's Traffic Safety Bureau, Garber said. No tickets had been issued as of about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police shut down College Drive between Blackwood Clementon Road and Broadacres Drive for approximately an hour as the accident was cleared.
