Trick-or-Treating in Gloucester Township

Trick-or-treating hours for Halloween 2012 in Gloucester Township are scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Stay with Patch for a potential change to the trick-or-treating schedule as a result of the seemingly imminent storm slated to hit the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast as Hurricane Sandy moves north.

Gloucester Township Police announced this week that curfew for minors has been adjusted for Halloween. Curfew for Monday, Oct. 29, Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 31, will be 7:00 p.m. for anyone less than 18 years old who is not accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other adult having custody, care, or control of the juvenile.

Police advise residents to take the following precautions on Mischief Night (Oct. 30):

1. Park your car in the garage and secure the vehicle and garage door.
2. Leave your house lights on, especially exterior lights.
3. Stay home.
4. Lock up your valuables.
5. Put away children’s yard toys. They could be stolen or damaged.
6. Lock your car doors.

Police also asks residents to report any suspicious activityby calling dispatch at 856-228-4500 or, if it's an emergency, 911. When reporting suspicious activity, police ask that you be as descriptive as possible. The description of the individual(s), location or direction of travel, and tag on a motor vehicle is extremely helpful.
