Crash Sends Vehicle Into Big Timber Creek: Police

The crash occurred Monday afternoon at Black Horse Pike and Old Black Horse Pike.

A vehicle ended up in Big Timber Creek and its driver had to be extricated following a crash late Monday afternoon, police said. 

About 4:30 p.m., police received several calls reporting a vehicle had run off the roadway following a two-vehicle crash at Black Horse Pike and Old Black Horse Pike, and veered into Big Timber Creek. 

Both roads were closed for about 45 minutes while fire crews removed the driver from the vehicle in the waterway.

Police did not release identity of the injured driver, or of the driver of the second vehicle, pending notification of their family members. 

The Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
