UPDATE: State Police ID Pedestrian Killed on Route 42

The victim lived in Pine Hill.

State police have identified the woman struck by several cars and killed on Route 42 in Blackwood early Sunday.

The victim was 33-year-old Pine Hill resident Amanda Dadura, according to state police spokesman Sgt. Brian Polite.

The fatal accident, which occurred near milepost 9.4, was reported to state police at 1:19 a.m.

Investigation by Bellmawr-based state troopers revealed Dadura was walking in the median on Route 42 when she entered the left, northbound lane and was struck by a black 2005 BMW, Polite said. She was subsequently struck by several other vehicles.

All drivers remained at the scene and were interviewed by detectives.

It took investigators several days to identify the victim.

On Wednesday, state police released photos of tattoos near Dadura's feet to area media to seek the public's help identifying her.

No tickets have been issued or charges filed in connection with the accident at this point, Polite said. The accident remains under investigation.
