Violent Camden Man Escaped Cops, on Wanted List, Police Say

A Camden man with a violent criminal history, including weapons and assault charges, is wanted for eluding police, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office said.

Hector Aviles, 28, is wanted on an outstanding warrant, authorities said.

Aviles is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs around 185 pounds, authorities said, but is easily identified by numerous tattoos—including a snake on the right side of his neck and a depiction of Osama bin Laden on the upper part of his left arm.

His last known address was at 2004 Cooper Street in Camden.

Anyone with information about Aviles or his whereabouts should not try to apprehend him; instead, notify the Camden County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Bureau at 856-225-5283 or the Sheriff’s TIP line at 856-225-5555.
