Weekend Hit-and-Run in Camden Turns Fatal

Alfredo Siguenza-Trejo, 39, was hit on Saturday and died on Tuesday.

The victim of a hit-and-run accident on July 19 died on Tuesday, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said on Wednesday.

They are seeking the public's help in identifying a vehicle that may have been involved in the fatal hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 39-year-old Alfredo Siguenza-Trejo, of Camden.

The incident happened on North 27th Street near High Street at 9:20 p.m. Saturday night. He died on Tuesday at Cooper Hospital.

Surveillance cameras captured images of a van that may have been the vehicle involved in the death driving north on 27th Street away from the scene of the impact. It appears to be a 1983 to 1991 white Ford Econoline.

That video is attached to this post.

Anyone who can provide information on this vehicle is urged to contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Douglas Rowand at 856-225-8514 or Camden County Police Detective Bill Reese at 856-757-7420.
