Ask Your Freeholders: The County Budget

The budget is still a work in progress, so keep checking with Patch or the Camden County website for updates on its introduction date and other information.

Got a problem and need an answer from Camden County government? We’ve got your solution.

Ask Your Freeholders is a weekly feature from Gloucester Township Patch in which you get to ask questions and get them answered here every Friday by the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Camden County—the county's highest body of elected officials.

Just send your questions to Haddonfield Patch editor Bill Duhart at bill.duhart@patch.com or ask it in our comment box below the story, and we’ll take the first three every week and get one of the seven freeholders to personally answer your question for this column.

Here's this week's question:

Question from Haddonfield Patch: What's the specific time frame for the county to introduce this year's budget and will the county hold any informational hearings for the public on the budget? If so, what are the times, dates and locations of the meetings?

The answer is from Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr.:

We will be introducing our 2011 budget in late April or early May. At that time, we will post the budget on our website, www.camdencounty.com, and offer an explanation of its main components, as we do every year. We have our last several budgets posted online.
