The Blackwood Rotary Library in Gloucester Township was forced to close on Monday because the building heating system was not working.

"The Gloucester Township Library is currently without heat.  A repair crew is on site working to correct the problem," said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Camden County Library System.

The building is located at 15 S. Black Horse Pike in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. It is a daily hub of activities and is part of eight libraries in the county system.

Monday's high was 50 degrees at 3 p.m. and the evening low is expected to be 34 degrees.

Please check back for updates when they become available.

The Library is located at 15 S. BLACK Horse Pike, not the White Horse Pike.

The library was also closed on Saturday. What was even worse is that, when I arrived in the afternoon, both book bins were completely full. I decided that leaving the materials that I wanted to return should not be left outside the boxes as others had done. Hopefully, the library will not charge me for the DVD that was due that day.

Willi: The sign on the door on Monday afternoon said that material due while they were closed would be back dated as returned on Friday, November 29th. If anyone has material reserved and ready to be picked-up, they will have until the end of the day on Wednesday, December 4th, to pick it up.
