Council Approves Pool Fee Hike

There will be slight increases across the board for 2011 pool memberships.

It will cost a little more this year to take a swim at the municipal pool.

The Township Council approved an ordinance on final reading Monday night increasing membership fees for the community , which is located in the Glen Oaks development.

The ordinance increases fees across the board by $10, except for nonpeak individual season memberships, which will jump $13 from $72 to $85.

Family memberships will cost $250, individual memberships $130, family weekend-only memberships $190, individual weekend-only memberships $100 and non-peak family memberships $160.

Councilwoman Crystal Evans voted against the pool ordinance, which was approved by a 6-1 vote.

Council also approved an ordinance on final reading Monday increasing the fees for the 's six-week summer camp from $180 to $200 for residents and from $230 to $260 for nonresidents.
