As a service to local communities, the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services is presenting free flu shots for children 6 months and older throughout January 2011. The Lakeland Regional Health Center will be the location for Gloucester Township's free flu shots for children.
“Young children are among the most vulnerable when it comes to the flu, so it’s important to take the preventative action of getting a flu vaccine,” said Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services. “Cases of the flu are starting to pick up as the flu season progresses, but by attending one of our flu clinics, residents can protect the health of their family and the community.”
Today is not the only day for this free flu shot offer. The Lakeland Regional Health Center will offer the shots again Jan. 21 and Jan. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon, and on Jan. 24 and Jan. 31, from 1 to 4 p.m.
