Fire Elections: Blackwood, Chews Landing and Glendora

Fire district elections are Saturday.

Fire district elections will be held across New Jersey this Saturday, including in Gloucester Township.

Polls will be open at the six Gloucester Township fire districts' station houses from 2 to 9 p.m. (Editor's note: Click links below for addresses.)

In Blackwood (Fire District No. 4), incumbent John McCann is running unopposed for a new three-year term on the Board of Commissioners.

District 4 voters are also being asked to approve a $1,095,840 tax levy for 2013—a decrease of $7,864 from 2012.

In Chews Landing (Fire District No. 2), incumbent Kevin J. Donahue and newcomers Joseph A. Reichert and Craig R. Watkins are seeking two three-year terms on the Board of Commissioners.

Incumbent Gabe Busa is not seeking re-election.

District 2 voters are also being asked to support a $1,632,130 tax levy for 2013—the same levy as 2012.

In Glendora (Fire District No. 1), incumbents Woody Minner and Phil Knast and challenger Nicholas Giambri are running for two three-year terms on the Board of Commissioners.

District 1 voters are also being asked to support a $297,900 tax levy for the all-volunteer company—an increase of $11,500 from 2012.
