Schools, Municipal Building to Re-Open Wednesday

The "Frankenstorm" created by Hurricane Sandy closes Gloucester Township schools for just two days.

While schools along and near New Jersey's coastline may be closed till next Monday, if not longer, as a result of what is now being dubbed "Superstorm Sandy," Gloucester Township's students and teachers will return to the classroom on Wednesday.

As Gloucester Township Public Works Department and utility company personnel worked to clean up the mess left behind in the massive storm's wake on Tuesday, school and police officials were able to determine it would be safe for schools to re-open.

Black Horse Pike Regional School District, Gloucester Township Public Schools, and Diocese of Camden schools serving Gloucester Township children, including Our Lady of Hope Regional School, all will re-open Wednesday, Gloucester Townshp Police announced Tuesday afternoon.
