Gloucester Township Picks Its Favorite Park

The winning park made a late rally to take the title as favorite park in Gloucester Township.

In what was surely the longest-running "Readers' Choice" poll in Gloucester Township Patch's short lifetime, readers chose Gloucester Township Community Park as the township's best park.

Community Park narrowly edged Lt. Col. Samuel M. Siler Veterans Memorial Parkin come-from-behind fashion, 20-17. Veterans Memorial Park led the poll from May 21 through June 13, but a late push by the Erial park put it ahead of the Laurel Springs park in the end.

Timber Creek Park finished third, with just five votes.

It was our goal to reach 50 total votes for this poll. While we did not make that goal, we appreciate the 42 readers who did take the time to put in their two cents.

Editor's Note: "Readers' Choice" returns Monday in a revamped format that gives you—our readers—much greater input into which restaurants, stores and people are featured in our polls. We're also going to expand the scope beyond Gloucester Township's borders.
