CCC, which received a Gold Award lauded by the program a year ago as well, was recognized for implementing 10 measures that promote commuting alternatives for employees and, in turn, contribute toward the reduction of traffic congestion and the improvement of air quality. These measures include placing alternative-commute information in new-employee packets; providing public transit schedules at campus locations; disseminating traffic alerts to employees; installing bicycle racks on campus; offering a formal compressed workweek during the summer; and five other activities.
