Timber Creek, Triton Field Hockey to Host Playoff Openers
Timber Creek and Triton are No. 8 seeds in their respective group playoffs.
The field hockey teams at Timber Creek and Triton will each host a first-round NJSIAA playoff game this week.
The Timber Creek field hockey team will open the playoffs at home as a No. 8 seed. The Chargers will host No. 9 Pinelands today. Pinelands went 4-8-2 playing in the Shore Conference.
With a victory, Timber Creek (6-11) would advance to face the top team in Group 3, Ocean City.

Kingsway (2), Lacey (3) and Mainland (4) are the other top seeds in the bracket.

Triton (6-6-2) is also a No. 8 seed and will host No. 9 Cherokee (6-12) Thursday. Both teams play out of the Olympic Conference, but the squads did not meet in the regular season.
The winner of Thursday’s contest will advance to face No. 1 Eastern.
Other top teams in Group 4 include Southern (2), Shawnee (3) and Clearview (4).
