Chargers, Mustangs Lead Group 4 Football Rankings
Timber Creek is ranked No. 1 in Group 4, with Triton three spots back, according to NJ.com.
NJ.com released its latest statewide football rankings and it should come as little surprise that both Timber Creek and Triton were highlighted as part of the Group 4 field.
Timber Creek, which moved from Group 3 to Group 4 this past offseason when NJSIAA decided to add a fifth group for football, earned a No. 1 ranking, even after its opening-week loss to Camden Catholic. The Chargers are currently 1-1 after defeating Eastern, 39-13, last week.

Three spots below Timber Creek is Triton, which has opened its year with impressive victories over Pennsauken and Cherokee.
Despite the 2-0 start, Triton was not included in NJ.com's overall Top 20. Timber Creek is the ninth-ranked team, one spot below Camden Catholic, which defeated the Chargers, 14-7.

Timber Creek will look to move to 2-1 when it takes on Cherry Hill West Friday, while Triton looks to remain perfect against Shawnee.
Other locally ranked teams include Williamstown (14) and Hammonton (20).
