Members of the Highland and Triton marching bands were honored during the Township Council's May 30 meeting.

Musicians from Highland and high schools were honored during Gloucester Township Council's May 30 meeting.

The Triton marching band won the Group IA Championship Competition at the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championship, held at fellow Black Horse Pike Regional School District, at Timber Creek Regional High School in November. It won the school's seventh South Jersey title en route to the Atlantic Coast title.

"It doesn't happen without a very, incredibly talented staff, without an eager group of parents or without a dedicated group of students who are willing to go above and beyond to be the very best they can be," Triton band director Bob Adams said.
