Five Things You Need to Know ... GTPS Calendar
Patch provides you with five big dates to remember from the Gloucester Township Public Schools 2012-13 calendar.
1. The first day of the 2012-13 school year is Thursday, Sept. 6.
2. The first two days Gloucester Township Public Schools' eight school buildings and administration building will be closed are Monday, Sept. 17, and Tuesday, Nov. 6, which is Election Day. Plan ahead for babysitters, working parents!
3. Winter break begins after a half-day on Friday, Dec. 21. With Christmas Eve falling on a Monday, students and staff will get an extra long winter break this year. Schools reopen Wednesday, Jan. 2.

4. Schools are scheduled to be closed for spring break for an entire week—March 29 through April 2.
5. The final day of the 2012-13 school year is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, June 13.
