VIDEO: Timber Creek National Honor Society Inducts New Members

The school's 11th annual National Honor Society induction ceremony saw 61 new members initiated.

The Timber Creek Regional High School National Honor Society welcomed 61 new members during an induction ceremony Tuesday night.

The keynote speaker was David Bruno, an assistant professor and English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) Department chairman at Camden County College. Bruno's department aided the National Honor Society's book drive to support an English-language library in impoverished African nation Rwanda.

The following criteria is required of junior and senior students for NHS admission:

  • Scholarship - Must achieve a 3.5 or higher regular cumulative grade point average
  • Service - Must demonstrate commitment to school and community activities
  • Leadership - Must demonstrate leadership qualities in and outside of the classroom
  • Character - Must have record of being respectful, responsible, trustworthy, fair, caring and good citizenship—NHS's "six pillars of character"
