Timber Creek's Honor Society Saves Lives

The high school's National Honor Society brought in 62 eligible units of blood during its annual Valentine's Day blood drive.

The Timber Creek High School National Honor Society joined forces with Community Blood Council of New Jersey Inc. to collect blood from students and staff on Feb. 10.

The National Honor Society's annual Valentine's Day blood drive resulted in the collection of 62 eligible units of blood—enough to potentially save 186 lives.

Timber Creek cience teacher Joe Sokolic is the school's National Honor Society faculty advisor.

In addition to the National Honor Society members, students from Sokolic's first- and eighth-period Anatomy and Physiology classes volunteered their time to this year's blood drive.
