Viewfinder: Erial Elementary Black History Tribute

Third-grade students from Erial Elementary School celebrated the second annual Black "Wax" Museum on Feb. 25.

Erial Elementary School's third-grade students observed Black History Month by presenting "Third Grade Black Wax Museum" on Feb. 25. The students portrayed distinguished black Americans—Marian Anderson, Wilma Rudolph, Aaron Douglas, Jackie Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Phillis Wheatley, Reggie Jackson and Rosa Parks, to name a few.

Third-grade teacher Kimberley Ross came up with this idea last year for her students. This year's event marked the second annual Black "Wax" Museum, which this year included all six third-grade classes.
