Timber Creek senior Greg Webb is officially introduced as a U.S. Army All-American football player Monday.

Timber Creek defensive tackle Greg Webb was officially introduced as a U.S. Army All-American during a press conference at the Erial school Monday afternoon.

Webb, who is recovering from off-season knee surgery, has been selected to play in the annual U.S. Army-sponsored high school all-star game in San Antonio, TX. The game will be played on Jan. 5, 2013, and broadcast on NBC.

The senior plans to attend the University of North Carolina. He will be joined at North Carolina by fellow Timber Creek defensive standout Dajaun Drennon.

Webb initially committed to play at Penn State, but backed out of his verbal commitment this summer after the school's football program was hit with sanctions in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal.

Check back with Gloucester Township Patch Tuesday morning for more on Webb's selection as an All-American.
