Blackwood Kiwanis Little League's 10-11 all-star team will look to exact a bit of revenge for its elder peers when it faces Erial Saturday night in a District 14 tournament game.

The Erial 11-12 all-star team defeated Blackwood in the District 14 championship Tuesday night, 6-3.

The Blackwood 10-11 team remained unbeaten in tournament play with its 9-7 win over Haddon Heights Wednesday night, setting up the winner's bracket matchup with crosstown rival Erial.

Marc-Anthony Rodriguez was the star for Blackwood in the win over Haddon Heights, earning a save and pacing the team's offense with a home run and three RBI.

Blackwood got off to a slow start in Wednesday's game, which Haddon Heights hosted. The team fell behind 2-0 after two innings, but busted out for three runs in the third.

Helping Rodriguez fill up the box score for Blackwood were Jared Colbert, who had two doubles and three RBI, and Dylan Maria, who had two triples and a double, with three RBI. Maria now has four triples in two games.

Jake McConnell, who came on in relief in the second inning to stymie a Haddon Heights rally, got the win.

Blackwood is scheduled to play Erial, at Audubon, at 5 p.m. Saturday.
