Dick's Sporting Goods to Launch Concussion-Awareness Program

The event at Dick's Sporting Goods' Cherry Hill location will include an appearance by former Philadelphia Eagle Brian Mitchell.

Dick's Sporting Goods will launch a new national program aimed at raising awareness of youth sports concussions, at its Cherry Hill location on Thursday, Aug. 4.

Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Mitchell will be on hand for the free event, which runs from 3 to 6 p.m. at Dick's Sporting Goods at 2130 Route 70 West (in the Marketplace at Garden State Park.)

Coaches, parents and young athletes are invited to attend the launch of PACE (Protecting Athletes through Concussion Education), which uses baseline testing to evaluate athletes for concussions.
