Game, Commercials or Halftime Show?

GT.Patch.com asks six shoppers at the ShopRite at The Marketplace, in Laurel Springs, why they watch the Super Bowl.

GloucesterTownship.Patch.com stopped by ShopRite of Chews Landing on Wednesday to ask customers why they would be watching Sunday's Super Bowl, which pits the Pittsburgh Steelers against the favored Green Bay Packers.

Or for the halftime show?

Patch would like to thank the six customers who took a few minutes to stand outside in the dreary weather at The Marketplace shopping plaza to answer our question and have their photos taken.

A hint to how they responded: No one said the halftime show.

Here are their responses:

Al Hamburg, of Pine Hill: I like the commercials. I think they're really neat. Some of them are funny. Football gets boring after a while.

Chaz Markley, of Blackwood: The commercials, because they're the funniest thing I've ever listened to in my whole entire life. ... I have a feeling it's going to be an amazing game, but I have to give it to the Steelers.

Lawrence Stuart (Giants fan and admitted Eagles hater), of Pine Hill: A lot of it would be the commercials, but mostly for the game. ... It's going to be a good matchup. I hope Green Bay wins.

Allante Stuart (Lawrence's daughter and an Eagles fan), of Pine Hill: I actually like the game, because of the tackles—I like action.

Elizabeth McMillon (a University of Pittsburgh grad who is pulling for the Steelers), of Laurel Springs, Gloucester Township: I guess I get excited about the game, because everybody is screaming, hollering, running, jumping, fighting and doing everything else. Sometimes the halftime is good. ... (The commercials) interrupt too long. They're too long.

Barbara Holtz, of Somerdale: The game itself. I'm a sports fanatic. I love it. Baseball and football only.
