GT Stallions Honored at Council Meeting

The Stallions' 85s, 105s and 120s were congratulated by township officials for their championship seasons at Monday's meeting.

Three championship-winning Gloucester Township Stallion football teams were honored on Monday night at the Gloucester Township Council meeting for their achievements during the 2012 season.

Sporting a Stallions jersey that he received from the organization at their banquet last weekend, Mayor David Mayer, along with Council President Glen Bianchini and state Assemblywoman Gabriela Mosquera, gave certificates to all of the players and cheerleaders from the 105- and 120-pound teams. Those three squads won their respective titles in the South Jersey Elite Invitational Youth Football League.

“The things that I learned in midget football and in the athletic arena are things that I carries with me my entire life,” Bianchini said during the ceremony.
