Gov. Christie Loses His Cool at the Jersey Shore

The governor was caught on video berating a heckler on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk.

Maybe it's the summer heat.

Gov. Chris Christie can't seem to keep a lid on his temper these days.

For the second time in a week, Christie lost his cool in public.

While on vacation with his family in Seaside Heights on Thursday, Christie lashed out at a passerby on the Boardwalk, the Huffington Post reports. The passerby made a derisive comment about the governor's education policies, according to TMZ.com

Last week, the governor berated a reporter during a press conference, after the reporter asked an off-topic question.

Despite the recent flare-ups, the Republican governor is considered a front-runner for the GOP vice-presidential nomination.

Great example to set before your children....wow...can't help but wonder if this was yet another "staged" YouTube moment in this man's quest to gain national attention--sure worked!!

I don't care what party you're affiliated with or how high you are on the political or corporate ladder...name-calling is immature, unproffessional and inappropriate in any situation. Guess Christie was absent that day in Kindergarten.
Jeff July 07, 2012 at 01:45 PM
So referring to him as a big, fat loud-mouth is probably out... (Unless we consider that a simple observation.)
Patriot 2012 July 07, 2012 at 02:02 PM
It's about time politicians fire back to these whiners. You go, Christie.
Mike July 07, 2012 at 02:07 PM
Typical liberal attack, however you forgot to call him a racist
Mike July 07, 2012 at 02:30 PM
Not suprising how you managed to overlook Ruth's "weight" comment to attack me lol Liberal 101
Mike July 07, 2012 at 02:35 PM
And joepa calls others stupid ....wow just wow !
Ric July 07, 2012 at 03:32 PM
Gee, Kat from Fl, I have an idea, why don't you take the big loud mouth with you to the sunshine state. That way we do not have to hear from him and we do not have to hear how wonderful your life is in the sunshine state. Although, it cannot be that good if you are following things up here.

Barrack Obama’s nightly prayer "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. I know after you got Sarah Palin to run as VP with McCain against me in the last election, I promised not to ask you again for that sort of favor. But since I got your affordable health care plan into law, things have been tough. Would you please convince Mitt Romney (Mitt is a Mormon so he isn’t really a Christian anyway) to select Chris Christie as his running mate. That will give me the election on a silver platter! Pretty please…Amen”

He belittles public school teachers, police & firemen. If a parent or student makes a similar comment to a teacher is he/she aloud to call them stupid or idiots? I would love to see Christie teach (not substitute) TEACH in the public schools for one year and keep his BIG FAT FOOD FILLING TRAP SHUT. I would love Christie to be a policeman/woman for a year and see how it feels to stop a car and not know if there is a gun aimed at him, go into a house full of crazied drug mobsters. Be called a PIG and not be able to do anything about it. I would be scared to death if Christie was a fireman and was responsible for RUNNING up a staircase to rescue me
@xxLouA July 07, 2012 at 06:41 PM
Yep! think he's been absent many times. Or is it being Gov your allowed to berate ppl whenever you want or stage to.....
Mike Diviney July 07, 2012 at 06:45 PM
Christie has the guts to tell it like it is. It's jarring to some because they're used to sugarcoating and waffling from their politicians. Interesting that many of the attacks on him relate to his weight, which has nothing to do with his governing. The education cartel consists of many who are as corrupt as most politicians. The teachers are not at fault, but get penalized because of their leadership. Christie offered a deal where they would contribute minimally to their health care and accept a pay freeze for 2 years. Under this plan, no teachers would lose their jobs. The union refused and some teachers lost their jobs because of it. Sadly, they got what they asked for.

Governors in Pennsylvania and New Jersey both stink. The taste of power has left a horrible smell emanating from their mouths. Hopefully the "minority" voters will wake up and remove the cause of public "gagging" before everybody chokes to death. Fortunately, the USA is still a better place to live than ANY other country on the planet.
Ric July 07, 2012 at 07:32 PM
He has guts but every fool has guts, including Christie. The problem is Christie lacks brains to control his mouth. He comes off like a fishmonger. I agree that the teacher's union is corrupt like most politicians. That does not excuse his obese bully behavior.
COLLSmopolitan July 07, 2012 at 08:19 PM
Not quite true. Many teachers have been contributing towards their insurance for years, have had more days added and workload increased with minimum raises

Part 1 - All the problems we have and you're all arguing about things that don't matter one iota.  Yes, he's a Repunlican.  Regardless of who is in office, republican or democrat, or their personality, whether liked or not, that person should serve the PEOPLE.   Right  now BOTH parties are ignoring the people.  Is Obamacare how it is good for the country or not?  Or would you rather have them argue over whether it's a tax or penalty?   Is fixing our economy better, or is arguing over why Christie lashed out on the boardwalk?  Name calling aside, my friends, but isn't it foolish to argue about these trivial things?  We have Healthcare and the economy, which go hand in hand if Obamacare is fully implemented, we have countries we need to get out of responsibly, we have open borders that criminals are now casually walking over, and now we have a president that announced shortly after that Supreme Court decision that he ordered the Feds not to enforce ANY immigration laws in Arizona.
Disappointed July 08, 2012 at 12:00 AM
Part 2 - We have so many problems that NEED to be solved, and yet, the politicians, parties, media, and yes UNIONS, have us hating each other over trivial, insignificant matters!!  Also, as to less important things than the economy, such as gay marriage, and other topics of importance to the PEOPLE, these should wait until after we make sure we still have an economy and country to discuss these things! So... I ask again... Who are the fools?  The politicians that were elected to make our country strong and INDIVIDUALS their right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, who decided to instead rape our local, state and federal government for personal gain and power,  screwing up our country from pillar to post?  Or are the fools the people that let them then argue about the distractions they feed us?   When is enough going to be enough?  Time for many Americans to grow up, get their priorities straight and realize how bad our situation really is.  Our Constitution is important and it's getting ripped to shreds, most importantly by taking away the sovereignty of the INDIVIDUAL.   Study up people... Especially all of you who claim to know about the Constitution and know deep down you never even read it.

Part 3 Extra Info - Oh... By the way... Someone in my immediate family is disabled( don't feel right saying who).  They went to the doctor and they told him that Medicare called and said the doctor has been told to change anyone on a short term pain medication to switch them ALL to long term pain medicine, even if they don't need it or want it. That's right.  Even when asked if they gave orders for non pain medication he said yes. Hey!  It's in the 3000 page Obamacare Law... Should have read it before you supported it, because if you think it won't apt to you, think again... It's almost all going to be government controlled.  Even Christie said he wouldn't decide whether to accept the new law or not, as some Republican Governors have said no to it.  But Christie said he'll do what's cheaper... Even if it means being told you can or can't take a certain medication you need just because of the cost???  Basically, he's putting money before people's health.  But those of you who wanted this got exactly what you asked for.  Hopefully we won't all have to live with it.
jammfal July 08, 2012 at 10:27 PM
hahahahha! Oh and God could you keep Ted Nugent talking as a Rep Representative too. This is very funny!!!!
Just doing what's right July 09, 2012 at 06:44 PM
Governor Christie reminds me of CT Governor Lowell Weicker during the mid 80's. We need leaders who don't bow to pressure or answer questions of people who don't know all the facts and issues behind the scenes. Governor Christie has balls, tells it like it is and doesn't mince words. He's taking hard necessary stances to clean up the mess of preceding series of NJ governors. He's on vacation trying to enjoy himself. Yes, he does hold a public office but leave the man be. He deserves time alone just like everyone else does.

JustALocalGuy July 11, 2012 at 07:33 PM
Must be nice to be so perfect that you can criticize Christie for his weight. Do you have anything of substance to say about his policies or are you just another typical talking-point-spewer without any original ideas of your own?

Carol.. get educated. . Liberals can't do math.. Chris Christie knows the austerity crack down must begin.. Tough to swallow if you are a government slave, but necessary.
George July 12, 2012 at 03:56 PM
Joe .. You rather hear a sweet talking man like McGreevy or Corslym... What's with you libtards.. You only seem to care about appearance not substance. Unless you are another government dependent slave..

It's funny, you look at the States that have Democratic Govs and their spending is going through the roof (CA and NY are out of hand) then look at the States with Repub Govs, spending going down. When will the Independents of this Country wake up. The Dems are ruining us and need to be stopped. Nobama should have been a wake-up call to everyone who actually loves and honors this great Country we have.
