Know Which Roads Are Closed for Work in Gloucester Twp.

Three simultaneous roadworks projects around Gloucester Township could slow down your drive.

Gloucester Township drivers would do well to carry around a list of roads they should avoid this week, as several major daytime projects will close key arteries in town.

Detours are in place to get drivers around the closures, but expect intermittent backups and delays from the roadwork.

Berlin-Cross Keys Road is closed this week 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Kearsley and Hickstown-Turnersville roads for a paving project. The road will be blocked off to everyone except residents and businesses in the work zone.

Starting July 15, the paving moves to Kearsley Road to New Brooklyn Erial Road.

And don’t forget about Lakeland Road, which needs emergency repairs. Crews are due to start Tuesday and continue for three weeks. Lakeland will be shut down 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. between the Route 168 and Woodbury Turnersville Road.

Chews Landing Road travelers will also have to dodge a construction zone. A sewer pipe project will close the road until mid-July between Little Gloucester Road and Hider Lane during the day. Chews Landing Road will reopen at 4:30 p.m. every day.

Residents can get through, but they’ll need to show a police officer identification.

After the sewer pipe is installed, authorities plan to pave the road in September.
