Summer Stage Performs Fourth of July Tribute Today

There's still time to make your way over to Camden County College for the youth theater group's Fourth of July tribute to America.

Mainstage Center for the Arts submitted the following press release to Gloucester Township Patch:

What/Where: Members of Summer Stage, Mainstage Center for the Arts’ visual and performing arts camp will pay a theatrical tribute to the United States in the Dennis Flyer Theatre, Lincoln Hall, Camden County College, Blackwood. This tribute traditionally includes poetry, song, and dance.

When: Tuesday, July 3, 2:15 p.m.

Who: The casts of Winnie the Pooh, Honk Jr. and Mulan Jr.; Video & Film Production students; and Storytelling program participants will break from rehearsals and classes for this event. Summer Stage participants are students entering second through 12th grades from a number of South Jersey towns.

Why: To celebrate Independence Day and to remember that we are fortunate to live in the United States with our freedom. As we see much division among political parties in this election year, the children remind us that, together, we are all citizens of this great nation.
