GT Council Meeting, 11/25/2013, 7:30 PM

There are some interesting agenda items on the docket for Monday’s GT Council meeting (11/25/2013, 7:30 PM, GT Municipal Building). If you have any questions or concerns, please attend and have your voice be heard.

Please note: Based on this Council’s well-established track record, it is rational to assume that all agenda items will result in “YES” votes from all council members.

O-13-19. Tax abatement for Guzzo Office Building. (Note: Owner Anthony Guzzo has previously contributed to Assemblyman Paul Moriarty’s election campaign.)

R-13:11-292. Budget transfers in the amount of $793,901.

R-13:11-294. Increase the contracted payment amount to Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., who, over the years, has donated many thousands of dollars to NJ political campaigns; the most generously to Donald Norcross.

This contract increase was recommended by Remington & Vernick Engineers. This firm, and its owners Craig Remington and Edward Vernick, have, over the years, donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to NJ political campaigns, including to current GT office holders.

R-13:11-297 and R-13:11-298. Contracts for two projects.  These contracts were recommended by Consulting Engineer Service. This firm, and its president Henry Haley, have, over the years, donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to NJ political campaigns, including to current GT office holders.

R-13:11-296. Payment of more than $17 million of expenditure. Some of the notable spending:

$48,545 to American Traffic Solutions (the red light camera company).  This company has donated to the many NJ campaigns, including Donald Norcross and Steve Sweeney.

$98,322 to the aforementioned donor, Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc.

$15,383 from the Open Space tax funds for the paving of a basketball court.

$38,241 to the aforementioned donor, Remington & Vernick Engineers.
