Ice Cream Festival, Steel Drum Band

There will also be a free child safety seat check today at the Camden County Emergency Training Center in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

The Laurel Springs Lions Club presents the Centennial Ice Cream Festival and Concert today at 6 p.m. at the Laurel Springs Recreation Complex on Grand Ave. The Steel Kings, a Caribbean steel-drum band, will perform at 7 p.m. 

Bring a lawn chair for this rain-or-shine event. If it rains, it will be held indoors in the recreation center.

Also on today, the Camden County Freeholders are sponsoring a free child safety seat check at the Camden County Emergency Training Center,  420 Woodbury Turnersville Road in the Blackwood section of the township.  Technicians will check your child's safety seat (or grandchild's) for proper installation, factory recalls, defects and proper seat for the child's age, weight and height.

If the seat has been recalled you will be given a new seat. This is a free service to all Camden County residents by the Camden County Freeholders, Div. of Highway Traffic Safety, Camden County College, and Safe Kids, Southern New Jersey.
