In the 21st Century, this is a topic for debate? Really?? Not only is this woman protected by theRead More First Amendment, she's also protected by logic and common sense.

Seems like a load of BS to me, let her have her plate. Some of these DMV folk get a little carriedRead More away with their power of VETO! LOL We had a plate once denied and all it was was a Spanish word that some nit wit thought was a part of a female genitalia! LMAO Called the office of the Gov and it was taken care of within a few days....NO ONE wants to piss off the hispanic vote in California John J. Nazarian, P.I. desperateexes.com

No M Smith, she would not have an issue if you wanted to put a cross in your yard. That's theRead More point. It is you that wants to have that right while denying anyone else to have the same freedom.
Statist Government April 19, 2014 at 10:17 pm
@Hookerman, (1) The right to "the free exercise of religion" guaranteed by the FirstRead More Amendment includes the right not to practice any organized religion, and (2) the DMV allowed "BAPTIST" but prohibited "8THEIST" thereby favoring one religious practice over another. Atheism is more than simply the absence of (organized, mass) religion.
Statist Government April 19, 2014 at 10:29 pm
@JVC, @paul, @Bruno, that an open declaration of atheism in the United States of America is anRead More invitation to be harmed speaks to the artificiality and the frailty of faith held by "religious" Americans. Anyone of any religious belief, including atheism and agnosticism, who is secure in their faith, will not care at all what others may believe or disbelieve. That is, by definition, the meaning of faith. Harming those who believe differently is a sign of lack of faith by the perpetrator.
John Santaella April 19, 2014 at 10:45 pm
Atheism is not a religious belief but the lack of a religious belief.

Both sides, left and right make excellent points on weaknesses of opposite side. That only makes meRead More think that no matter who is at the helm: We are screwed ! Don't you see it at county level, state and federal levels? Both sides are equally corrupted, going from one donor to another begging for campaign funds. Later comes "payback time" with legislation, rules and regulations and contracts that benefit money donors. You and I as a voters are nothing unless we give substantial amount of money. Thank you and good night America.
WMS826 April 19, 2014 at 07:41 pm
That is why both sides are terrified of a viable third party.

I love the people who have nothing to add to the conversation so they throw either Obama or gunRead More control in. Either subject are worth debating at another time. But this conversation has nothing to do with either.

I understand that with success comes notoriety. So while I am a not surprised by the level ofRead More interest you all have in that family, I am surprised that it is not just left at that. I am surprised that people from this area would resort to posting elementary school comments. I thought we were a little more refined than that. So many comments about the father, his family or employees and not one comment about if the kid is ok? If the father specifically did something to you and you want to come out and share your experience of why you think he’s this or that, then go ahead. But to sit here and ambiguously post comments about things you heard, that have no real impact on you, makes you look childish or jealous
Kristi April 19, 2014 at 10:53 pm
Why the hell is this kid smirking in his photo??? Is this the picture from ear biting arrest orRead More assault of his girlfrend? Quite a concerning picture.
Chris L April 19, 2014 at 11:03 pm
I'm leaning towards steroid and drug use for this kid. Shit maybe even bath salts. Doesn't that makeRead More you eat people? At the end of the day this is not a surprising story. Apple never falls far.

NO -----SHE DESERVES WHAT SHE GOT..- She STABBED STABBED STABBED..she should have gotten the deathRead More penalty.....but michigan has only life in prison. Don't have sympathy for her just because she's a woman. She's a cold blooded killer and deserves what she got.
RON Ostrodamus April 19, 2014 at 03:11 am
The death penalty certainly cuts down on the record number of incarcerations in America. Enough ofRead More this liberal crap on humane punishment. The word "humane' never enters the minds of these cold blooded killers. What is going to happen if another bombing takes place outside of Texas? What is going to happen with the next airplane hijacking, or Boston?

Don, the comments were made at sentencing, not at trialso it hss no bearing on her conviction.
