NJ Troopers Return from Inauguration Duty

Forty troopers helped secure the presidential inauguration parade route, joining fellow New Jerseyans in Washington, DC, this week.

The Garden State was well-represented at President Obama's inauguration this week. From campaign volunteers to musicians to police, New Jerseyans were everywhere at the 57th presidential inauguration. Forty New Jersey State Police troopers were deputized in Washington, DC, for the festivities. They spent Jan. 18-22 in the nation's capital for the inauguration detail. Their expenses were covered by Washington, DC's police department.
