Two Tabby Cats Need a Home, Fast

Patch/NJ Aid for Animals adopt a pet of the week.

New Jersey Aid for Animals board member Kelly Matthews, a Camden County resident, submitted this to Patch: Kitty Girl and Buggy, a tightly-bonded pair of sweet-natured tabbies, don't know it but their lives are in danger. Their owner recently died and no one is available to take care of them. They are scheduled to go to an open-admission animal shelter on May 15, where they could be euthanized. Both cats are 8 years old, brown tigers, healthy, gentle, kindly and loving. All they need is a chance. If you can foster or adopt Buggy and Kitty Girl, please contact Patty, peetieb@aol.com. That's a Fact, Jax: Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Pet of the Week

Jax needs a home. He's 12 pounds, loves other dogs and is full of energy.

New Jersey Aid for Animals (NJAFA) board member Kelly Matthews submitted the following to Patch regarding a dog in need of a home: We received a call from a woman who was mugged violently in her home in Camden.  She had to move and could not take Jax. The neighbor let Jax stay with them however they too can't provide a very good environment for Jax. The owner begged us to take him immediately. He is an adorable little boy just fully vetted, about 12 pounds,  6 years old and 100% adorable. Loves other dogs, full of energy (living with four fosters).  If interested fill out application. Jax can be seen at his foster home in Collingswood. New Jersey Aid for Animals is a Winslow Township-based no-kill animal charity enriching the lives of …

Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Pet of the Week: Hooch (Again)

Hooch is back as the Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Pet of the Week, meaning he still has not been adopted.

New Jersey Aid for Animals board member Kelly Matthews, a Gloucester Township resident, submitted the following to Patch: Hooch is still looking for a home. Can you believe it? He hopped the bridge from Philly to New Jersey, but still no one has given this poor boy a shot at being a part of their family. Abandoned on the streets in Philly, he came to NJ Aid for Animals in sad shape, scruffy and underfed. We quickly neutered him and worked on getting some weight on him. Hooch has been enjoying nightly walks with a handler and is doing well on basic commands. We're stumped with as loving and calm as he is that no one has taken him home yet. Usually when we take him out, people fawn all over our Hooch man but then leave him behind, with his …

Linda it's *much* appreciated! Sharing is another way of helping and people often over look it, I'm glad you didn't. Hooch really is a great dog and hopefully he will go home to a great person soon.   more ›
