45-Day Jarvis Rd. Paving Project Begins Wednesday

Less than a mile of Jarvis Road is set to be rapaved beginning Wednesday.

The paving work will start May 15 and continue for 45 days.

Camden County submitted the following news release:  Jarvis Road (County Route 687) will be repaved from Sicklerville Road (County Route 705) to mile marker .75 in the vicinity of Maynard Drive in Gloucester Township. The work is scheduled to begin May 15, and it is anticipated to last for 45 calendar days. Shred Your Personal Documents for Free in Camden County

The county will provide free document shredding Saturday at Camden County College.

Camden County submitted the following news release: To help in the fight against identity theft, the Camden County Freeholder Board is sponsoring a free shredding day for Camden County residents wanting to destroy documents containing personal information. On Saturday, May 11 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, industrial-sized shredder trucks will be in the parking lot of Camden County College on Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township to destroy private documents.  “This is a great opportunity to shred the personal documents that we all save rather than throw in the trash and run the risk of identity theft,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.  “Camden County employees have volunteered their time to be on hand to assist residents with …

Tiffany Lewis Wanted in Camden County on Warrant

Lewis failed to show for a court hearing last month, authorities say.

A Barrington woman who authorities said skipped out on a probation violation hearing in Superior Court last month is wanted by the Camden County Sheriff’s Department. Tiffany Lewis, 26, who has addresses in Barrington and Wildwood, was supposed to appear March 15 in Camden, authorities said. Lewis, who authorities said also goes by Tiffany Conover, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has blue eyes and blond hair. Anyone who knows Lewis’ whereabouts should not attempt to apprehend her. Instead, contact the Camden County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Bureau at 856-225-5283 or the Camden County Sheriff’s TIP line at 856-225-5555. Callers can remain anonymous and a reward is offered for information leading to Lewis’ arrest.

Camden County Tech Schools Add Law and Public Safety Academies

The technical schools will offer students the chance to get on the path to careers in police, fire and emergency services.

Students in Camden County will have the chance to prepare for careers in law enforcement and emergency services, and the newly formed countywide police department will get a pipeline for future recruits under a plan announced by county officials Tuesday. Boscoe is a 9-year-old dog who weighs about 12 pounds.

New Jersey Aid for Animals board member Kelly Matthews submitted the following to Patch regarding a dog in need of a home: Boscoe is a sweet little chocolate and tan dog. He's housebroken, gets along with other small dogs and is good with cats. He originally was adopted from a rescue, and after eight years his owner could no longer keep him because they were working long hours. Boscoe is about 9 years old but has a lot of love to give still. As with most small dogs, he's probably not the best with small children, but teens he'd be fine with. Russell Lloyd Wanted in Camden County on Warrant

The Runnemede resident failed to appear in state Superior Court in Camden, authorities said.

Russell Lloyd, 23, of Runnemede and Franklinville, is wanted by the Camden County Sheriff's Office on a warrant.  Lloyd failed to appear in in state Superior Court in Camden on March 1, 2013, on a charge of theft by unlawful taking, authorities said.  He is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair. He has piercings in both ears, and under his lower lip.  Anyone who knows Lloyd's whereabouts should not attempt to apprehend him. Portion of White Horse Pike Remains Closed for Utility Work

Single lanes of the highway will be closed overnight for the rest of the week as a gas-main installation project continues.

Camden County submitted the following news release:  The Camden County Department of Public Works has been notified that an ongoing gas main installation project underneath Route 30 (White Horse Pike) is impacting the state highway this week—requiring single-lane closures—in Camden County. South Jersey Gas is currently upgrading their underground pipeline facilities running below Route 30 between Warwick Road and Brand Avenue through the boroughs of Magnolia, Somerdale, Stratford, Lindenwold and Clementon. The work is being accomplished with single-lane closures on Route 30 in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. One lane will be maintained on the highway in each direction at all times.  “If you need to travel on the White Horse Pike …
