South Jersey Energy announced Tuesday that it has awarded a $1,000 grant to the choir at Camden County Technical Schools-Gloucester Township Campus. The school's music program applied for and received one of 15 $1,000 grants from the South Jersey Industries subsidiary as part of its Energy for the Arts program, designed to support competitive arts programs for school-aged children. The funding will be used to purchase new choir uniforms for competitions, according to choir director Jessica Thomas. The flu clinic at Camden County Tech is today.
Twice postponed due to lousy weather, the Camden County flu clinic at Camden County Technical Schools-Gloucester Township Campus will be held today (Wednesday, Nov. 14). The flu clinic at the Berlin-Cross Keys Road school initially was scheduled for Oct. 30, but was postponed due to Superstorm Sandy. The county announced the clinic would be held on Nov. 7, but then a nor'easter brought an early snowstorm to our area, forcing a second postponement. Good news—the National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies and a high of 49 in Sicklerville today, so a hurricane or a snowstorm is highly unlikely.
