Police believe it was the same man who approached two juvenile girls and attempted to engage them in conversation in separate incidents Thursday night. The victims told police they were approached by a man driving a red or burgundy, four-door car, with New Jersey license plates, as they walked home, Gloucester Township Police Capt. Jeff Weiserth said. Police described the "suspicious person" as a dark-skinned, black male, who is about 5-foot-6 and was speaking with an accent. A Cherrywood Apartments woman faces charges of assaulting and attempting to disarm a police officer at PNC Bank on Blackwood Clementon Road Monday morning. Gloucester Township Police received a report of an irate customer at the bank at 9:19 a.m. Monday. The initial responding police officer attempted to calm the patron, who continued to act disorderly and threatened to take the officer's weapon, according to Lt. Bob Stavola. After back-up officers arrived on scene, the patron began fighting the officers as they attempted to take her into custody in the bank lobby.
