Logan Hawkins, 33, fled the bank without any cash earlier this week, Gloucester Township Police said. He's being held on $100,000 bail.
Gloucester Township Police arrested a Pine Hill man they say tried to rob Glendora bank earlier in the week. Police took Logan Hawkins, 33, into custody on Feb. 21. He is accused of passing a note to a teller demanding cash on Feb. 19 at the PNC Bank on the Black Horse Pike. Hawkins left empty-handed, police said. Police zeroed in on Hawkins after tips from the public. Police had released surveillance footage of the incident, and the pictures clearly showed a subject's face. Saturday's fire district elections see just one newcomer elected commissioner.
Budgets were approved by sound margins in all six Gloucester Township fire district elections on Saturday, as a host of incumbents were re-elected fire commissioners in the township's six districts. In the two fire districts with contested races, incumbent Kevin J. Donahue and newcomer Joseph A. Reichert were elected to three-year terms as District 2 commissioners, while incumbents Woody Minner and Phil Knast won re-election as District 1 commissioners. Donahue received 482 votes and Reichert 516 in the District 2 race, according to unofficial numbers. The third individual to file a petition to appear on the District 2 ballot, Craig R. Gloucester Township Police say the suspect fled the Black Horse Pike PNC Bank branch before he got any cash.
Gloucester Township Police hope the public can help identify a man they say attempted to rob the PNC Bank branch office at 900 Black Horse Pike, in the township's Glendora section, Tuesday morning. Police released surveillance images from the bank Tuesday afternoon. The suspect fled the bank without getting any cash after he had slipped a teller a note indicating he was robbing the bank, according to Lt. Jason Gittens. Police were dispatched to the bank at 10:37 a.m. on a report of a bank robbery. Police described the suspect as a light-skinned black male who is 20 to 30 years old, thin and about 5 feet, 10 inches tall. Gloucester Township Police CrimeStoppers is seeking the public's help locating an antique mill stone stolen from historic Gabreil Daveis Tavern. The theft occurred sometime in late 2012 or early 2013. The Gloucester Township Historical and Scenic Preservation Committee recently reported the mill stone as stolen. It does not appear the stone was removed in an act of criminal mischief. There were no signs on the property that it was rolled away, according to police, who conducted an extensive search for the stone on the large property in Glendora, at the end of Fourth Avenue. A 62-year-old Glendora man is struck by one of two cars involved in a crash in front of Sports Outlet.
A 62-year-old Glendora resident sustained head injuries when he was struck by one of two cars involved in a collision at Black Horse Pike and Eighth Avenue, in front of Sports Outlet in the township's Glendora section, late Wednesday morning.
